Business and distribution environment surrounding
us and people’s awareness are changing constantly,
and do not allow us to stand still even for a moment.
Our mission is to create “flexible and attractive company
which readily adapts to such changes and prioritize
customer satisfaction.
Imuraya Confectionary Co., Ltd. commemorated its 60th
anniversary in April, 2007.
We take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support and patronage.
We made a fresh start for “the New Age”. The account for the period ending in March, 2008 was austere as is seen from our IR Information. The business environment faced by food industry is filled with increasingly difficult and nearly insurmountable challenges.
We are determined to manifest the results of internal innovations and harvest the fruits of equipment investments of past years and to continue our utmost efforts to realize “Epochal Year”.
The Management Objectives for the Year 2008 are as follows;

1) Thoroughly Perform the Ordinary
We shall not ignore petty things and do
what is expected in the expected way.
2) Act Positively and Resolutely
We shall take positive actions with resoluteness.
3) Act Cheerfully with Broad Mindedness
We shall always be cheerful and broad
minded.

1) We shall act as an independent subject and challenge to
perform its responsibilities.
2) Innovation is evolution, and brings true, new and profound values. We shall challenge with
determination to achieve innovation.
3) We shall respect and honor our policies and challenge to
offer customer satisfaction and
employee satisfaction.
[3] Seven Management Goals
1) We shall continue to attach importance to the merchandise
quality. We shall pursue the policy of
“Quality First” and aim to “Establish Safety
and Quality” by obtaining ISO22000 certification for
our Tsu Plant.
2) We shall launch the new system to implement “Reinforcement of the management initiative”,
“Reinforcement of the development
initiative ” and “Reinforcement of the systems”.
3) We shall create new “Cost-conscious System”
by promoting “the Campaign for Reducing
Losses, Mistakes and Wastes”.
4) We shall act with strong will to establish SCM (Supply Chain Management) and to realize
“interconnective management”,
to create “SCM Cycle” of procurement, development,
production, logistics, marketing and
administration, which will be the major features of
Imuraya’s management.
5) We shall continue management with emphasis on CSR,
execute risk management, improve
IR, ISO based management, and reinforce
internal control; we shall become “a company
which does what the company must do on its own”.
6) We shall act with the spirit of cooperation and collaboration
in shared procurements to achieve
synergistic effects.
7) We shall take the step toward management innovation with
an awareness of the importance of
“close ties” for the future generations. We shall
realize our goals of the administration and
evaluation systems for organization, personnel
affairs, education, reconstruction of overseas
and domestic businesses, and investment in new businesses.
This year, we shall continue to promote our movement for “reducing losses, mistakes and wastes”, which was started last year, and work on the issues of climate changes and to settle them as our group’s endowment for future. We launched the business of frozen Japanese confections by exploiting our strength and hope to firmly establish it as a new business. Our market strategies include innovations of the procurement systems for confections and foods items by abolishing the rebate system, and environmental preservation by reducing the returns to zero. This new system aiming at transparency and efficiency of the procurement business was started with understanding and cooperation of our clients.
We shall resolutely advance toward renovation of the company by honoring our unique tradition and by enhancing the corporate values by joining the distribution business for confections, food items, chilled foods, heated foods, frozen s, food service businesses, seasoning company and other group companies.
